Tempting the Soldier

She’s going to bring him to his knees.
He’s a big, strong military man.
Women want him and men want to be like him.
So what could he have in common with the mousy librarian?
He doesn’t want marriage and she doesn’t want a fling.
She may not realize it, but she’s tempting the soldier…
And just may bring him to his knees.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐In this American Heroes story, two people could not be more unalike, yet the attraction they feel for the other is too powerful to disregard. Travis has seen a lot in his life as a soldier plus lived through some bad experiences, and he does not think there will ever be only one woman for him again. But upon coming in contact with Bethany, his views on being in a relationship become very conflicted. She lives a simple life in the town where she was born, and meeting Travis has her craving things that she never thought would be possible. The storyline that Hope Ford imagines for this endearing couple is moving at times and repeatedly filled with realistic situations.

When Travis starts up a conversation at the grocery store with Bethany, he just needed help picking out an item for his aunt. Though the librarian is definitely not the usual type of woman whom he normally notices, something about her demeanor calls to him, especially when their paths cross a second time. Bethany also feels drawn to Travis but realizes she and the man with a military background are too different. Yet perhaps going out with him once will be all right if they keep things between them from going too far.

I really enjoyed the romantic aspects in TEMPTING THE SOLDIER, as Travis and Bethany display genuine feelings and heartfelt passion. They actually get to know one another well before taking a big step in their relationship, and this fact made the story seem more convincing because of how these two had behaved toward one another. When either Travis or Bethany put their hearts on the line, their innermost thoughts come through loud and clear because of how vividly events are described. This is one of my most memorable Hope Ford books to date. Rating – 4.5 Stars

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I love Hope Ford’s books. I love it even more when she surprises me with the unexpected. The plot is a normal one, but the details are different. I’m not going to say a word about the differences other than to say, I loved the book. Bethany is Bethany and she is true to her core. She isn’t Travis’ usual type of woman, but then he hasn’t met Bethany yet!

You will laugh and cry as you finish this one up. Highly recommend.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Travis is at the store shopping when he meets Bethany. Bethany is the librarian and grew up in the town. She falls in love with him but he doesn’t love her. The characters have chemistry. This is an emotional, short read.
